ISN’T PAIN A BIT POETIC AS BEAUTY?

A Performance of debasement. On stage three performers, a juggler, an acrobat, and a performance artist create a continuity of absurd scenes that follow one another as artists question and experiment with their limits, the ones they impose on themselves and equally the ones set by others. Until where can we go without hurting ourselves?

Taival is a raw performance with a mixture of black humor and oddness. Linked with manipulative games and domination, these three artists try to let go of it to find a refuge for their frustrations. Taival interrogates this fragile separation that lives inside of us all. A sense of freedom inspires us with an independence that gives the essence of being human.

In this constraint suffered and imposed, individuals aren’t free anymore? Isn’t there a definitive source of pleasure in this debasement of pain and limits? The performance explores these questions through an aesthetic prism. A sublimation of pain on stage is assumed like a part of an answer to the issues raised.
